jordanna and i fucked up big time last week while mark was out and now we are on a wild hunt for the names of the people who we didnt send letters to, letters which tell the students who their contact is in the united states and some of them have already arrived over the weekend since we sent out their ds2019's. OOPS!

caleb comes home today!!! and i am once again homeless. house me!! i dont clean but i can cook and drink and smoke and sexual favors are never out of the question.

i finished "a wild sheep chase" this morning on the train. yet another typically murakami novel. its strange how the themes and even the characters are stock(well stock for murakami), yet still i want to read more. i crave more. next "the wind up bird cronicle"? am i ready. when i asked amanda a few months ago she said i wasnt ready and it would be too much for me emotionally. so perhaps "south of the border, west of the sun". slowly but surely making my way through the murakami catalogue. "a hardboiled wonderland and the end of the world" will have to wait until my mind is clear enough to keep track of everything going on.

what will i eat today?

4 days till ari comes home.

A comment full of quotation marks.
Wind-Up Bird is "too much emotionally" in a good way, I think. Puts things in perspective, as it's hard to be in such a weird, literally/mentally/emotionally underground state as the protagonist is. I especially like the part about the war and the gulags. The "girl" in "South of the Border..." is such a nutcase. Might put things in perspective too ;)

"Hardboiled Wonderland" is my second favorite. Not hard to keep track of, but very interesting. Sci-fi ish. Good genre for good writer. Emotional ending. Highly recommended!

The indian place at the bottom of grand central is good for lunch, but a little on the pricey side, and filling.

oh yeah, and don't start ignoring all of us once Ari gets home, or we'll have to collectively kick your ass.
