well i freaked out today when i learned that AGFA north america has shut down forever and my favorite paper for printing photographs.

i just looked over my feeble minded trans-father's blog www.greenfrogcafe.blogspot.com yes take your time to laugh and then regain composure. annnyway. i want to respond to some of the comments she made about david's idenity as a drag queen and a pomo homo fag man.

yes a drag queen can be very easily categorized as a trans-person. do we refer to elizabethan shakepearian actors who played female roles as trans? and of course each person's idenity and whatever is very personal and different. but in my experience drag queens who identify as drag queens live their days as men and their nights as drag queens NOT ladies. this varies and it varies greatly. but drag queen is an occupation mostly. i know with great certainty that when david is violet, he is not by any means trying to look like sound like or act like a woman. a drag queen is a CLOWN. think about it, take some time. C-L-O-W-N. who shows up at a party covered in rediculous makeup in a bad outfit and gets on stage and acts like a fool? amanda lepore. wait NO. drag queens. most notably, my boyfriend david.

i'm not saying that david doesnt identify as trans or any other drag queens don't or many of them. but i'm just saying that david is not a tranny and if he ever decided that he was gonna live as a woman, i would leave him.

i assure you all that david doesnt feel torn between his two idenities. and if he ever does he will choose me over his wigs. cause im more comfortable. and hot.

so my body has decided it wont sleep unless i take pills, but i ran out, so no sleep last night

i think ive had that same enormous bottle of sleeping pills from costco for some obsene amount of time. like several years. i guess since i was medicated for the past two years i havent needed to put myself to sleep.

thank god i'm not medicated anymore. it's been hard for david to get used to me now that i have emotions. ooh and mood swings! the trademark zug 30 second mood swing. ah it's a classic

i watched party monster, the documentary not the theatrical movie. several conclusions. james st.james was always an ugly fag. that fat bitch with the dreds and shit, yeah, she's nasty. didnt like natasha lyonne or whatever play her in the movie version? yeah fat bitch mustve been happy about that. what else. oh yes, i hope to be interviewed for party monster 2. i just need to get one of my friends to kill a drug dealer.

this past week with david in san diego (which in spanish, by the way, means the inside of a whale's vagina) i have fully realized how much i hate living alone and how unsafe i feel living on the ground floor. i really wish there were bars on my windows. have i been so demented by city living that would prefer that there be bars on my windows. i mean i know im demented because i feel the most comfortable in a doorman building with the door to my apartment unlocked at all times. who does this besides my family? i dont think anyone.

EVERYBODY needs to download (if you already have not) the hot boyz cover by dear nora & casiotone for the painfully alone from fluxblog (www.fluxblog.org if you dont know). as we all know this is one of the bestest missy elliot songs ever and was my ringtone for a long time this fall. my ringtone has since changed to the rain (supa dupa fly) which we all know is miss covering the great original by-- well i dont have time to find out but whatever. fine i know nothing! anyway back to supa dupa fly not only one of missy's finest songs but also one hell of a music video. remember those? MUSIC VIDEOS. perhaps if your not familiar you could check out fuze or mtv2 or sometimes BET or if your up at 4 in the morning regular old MTV or VH1 cause they gave up on the whole music video thing long ago in favor of teenage girls screaming and "reality programming." at least VH1 owns up to the lack of reality and refers to it as "celeb reality" or "surreality programming" by inference. anyway... i say we bring back the box. remember the box? not only 100% music video programming but its like a jukebox on tv and everyone has to watch your picks for only a nominal fee.

this week without david has SUCKED. mostly cause david got here and then liz got here and then gen got here and then amanda and gabe and nina and zahava and matt fox. and then they all left simultaneously. and ive been sitting in my apartment alone mostly except for my once in a while excursions to play with amanda and jaqueline. and the cat, good old skinny mini, has been completely nuts cause everyone left and the entire burden of his attention getting rests on my shoulders. anyway... ill live.

this blog has always had a strict apostrophes on all contractions and no capitalization rule. but ive noticed ive gotten lazy. so please forgive the occasional capital letter and the near complete disregard for the rules pertaining to the use of the apostrophe. especially in this post.

oh another thing pertaining to music. the fiery furnaces. used to hate them. especially due to the fact that my initial exposure to them was that horrible cover of norwegian wood, which has since grown on me but the initial shock was pretty incredible. so yeah. now i think theyre fun and interesting and cool. in a way.

today... 80 degreess. beautiful clear skies and sunshine all the way to heaven. gotta love the south. its springtime in nola. has been for a month or so. too bad summer has to come in a few weeks and its going to be like... like... like a fiery fucking furnace! till the end of october. boo.

lets see... what else?

oh yeah! tonight is the finale of project runway. get ready kids! poor daniel v, he had such potential but according to what ive seen of his collection, he has squandered it almost entirely. and those woodshop looking bags!? jeesus.

oh! do we all know i got a DUI on the monday after my birthday and spent the night in jail and poor daivd almost died of worry. sucks big time! biiiig time.

i do believe that david is the most incredible person i have ever met. he is everything ari is without being a self-centered cold-hearted bitch. he is giving and thoughtful and caring. we have and equal and honest relationship without any struggles. all of this after only three months. he is not scared of our relationship or the future and i absolutely trust him in every possible way.

amsterdam has been a lot of fun. we got off the plane and followed rusty's poor directions to her apartment and then freaked out when we realized that she never told us which buzzer or which door it was. thankfully it was figured out by calling casper the dutch teacher. we smoked a bowl and took a nap while rusty and chelsea went out to a museum and brought back shrooms and more pot. we ate the shrooms and some ecstasy and had an amazing night. yesterday we walked around amsterdam and had vlaamse frites. i had the speciaal with ketchup vlaamse mayonaise and chopped onions, my favorite.

today we have plans to go to david's favorite leather and rubber fetish store

chelsea and david have bonded wonderfully which is good i guess. somebody in the family should get along well with her

caleb made it around the sun. im single again. the kittens are HUGE. im living at rusty's. i need to do laundry. i need to clean my room.

im going to london in a few weeks to get out of my head a bit. im feeling the need to travel. i may go to new orleans again to commune with the place et cetera. i wrote to my friend in salvador and the idea of going to brazil for a few weeks made me sell some stock so i have the liquid assets to run away if i decide to. i have an invitation to go to paris in the spring. i think i'll be going to russia this summer. it's about time.

perhaps i'll cut my hair today.

i bought a bottle of cachaça today. i keep staring at it. i need to run to the store to stock up on limes and sugar.

i must write. i need to take pictures. i need to get drunk and make a fool of myself. i am desperately in need of catharsis.

just the usual.

my room is painted like the inside of a menstruating uterus with wallpaper trim with a beauty shop scene on it.

im prettier than all the girls on america's next top model. and that includes tyra and twiggy.

i think its time i went shopping again. monday will be century day. it will be shawarma day. today i'll buy something on guyshop.

weeds on shotime is an excellent show. i downloaded the first season and watched it straight through.

the holidays are upon us once again and im not prepared. the next thing i know i will be at ellen's for thanksgiving and then it will be christmas and then another depressing new years.

i have usurped possesion of rusty's scanner and i can finally post artwork. aurora doesnt believe in the artistic merit of photography. i showed a portion of my portfolio to my photo prof at hofstra and she was thoroughly impressed with my well developed photographic vision. once again one of my professors has noted the eerie dark tone of my work. perhaps it's my love of cool rich blacks, lines and shadows.

my stuff in new orleans is ALL ok and i was able to bring back with me my artwork and my clothes and my cameras and tripods and all my shoes except one pair that i never wear. new orleans is still there. the destruction is incredible. i would drive by entire blocks of houses that had burned to the ground with only some bricks and wrought iron remaining and feel the tears coming on. there was nothing to eat except fast food. nothing was open. and things in metarie were open just during the daytime. these photos were taken by me in my old apartment on lowerline about a year ago
